On 2nd of Ocotober 2008 I leave the UK for a 10 day adventure of off-road motorcycling along the wild coast of South Africa. I am aiming to raise £10,000 for three very worth charities; Unicef, Sentebale and Nelson Mandel's Trust. I have been preparing for the trip and fund raising for the last 9 months and am starting this blog to detail the last few weeks of preparation and to keep a blog during the trip.

At last we are ready to go
It was great relief to arrive and to see that the kit had arrived because replacing this lot locally would be a challenge
